Over the years, International Interns has endeavored to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people throughout Eastern Europe and the Turk World and where the Lord directs, with Jesus’ love and compassion. Here are a few highlights from the Compassion ministries…
In response to the great need caused by a 7.0 earthquake in Haiti, International Interns, in partnership with Mission Air Services, was able to help make two air shipments to Port-au-Prince of critical life saving supplies for orphans, street kids and others in urgent need.
NURTURING BODY & SOUL-2009
Dr. Robert Carpenter, a spry 83-year-old retired doctor, has served with the short-term missionary teams in Moldova. He has taken the Mobile Clinic to Orhei and surrounding villages. The 2009 Clinics served five villages and over 302 patients.
Through the help of International Interns and its donors, Katya, the 25-year-old wife of Pastor Alexey Botnary of Revival Church in Saransk Russia, was able to receive much needed medical treatment for her heart condition and migraines in 2007.
International Interns raised money to treat 2-year-old Matthew Petrov, son of LDI graduate, Ion Petrov, in Saransk, Russia, who suffered from leukemia. Despite numerous treatments and nutritional supplements, little Matthew passed away on January 13, 2007. His last words were, “I go home.”
International Interns provided financial aid for the Tabitha Farm Project in Moldova to relieve the devastations of severe drought conditions. Funds were donated to provide seeds for winter crops.
